Clear terms for changing or cancelling your booking with Official Egypt Tours
Quick summary: Tours can be cancelled for a full refund up to 24 hours before the start time (Egypt local time). Contact us before cancelling — we will always try to help you reschedule first.
Day tours & single-day experiences
Applies to Cairo day trips, Alexandria tours, desert safaris, airport transfers with sightseeing, and other experiences under 24 hours.

All cancellation times are based on the local timezone in Egypt (EET/EEST), using the scheduled start time shown on your booking confirmation.
How to cancel or change your booking
- Contact us as soon as your plans change by email at info@egypttraveltours.com, phone at +20 01004765050, or WhatsApp.
- Include your booking reference, the tour name, and your preferred date of travel.
- We will confirm your cancellation or rescheduling in writing by email.
Where possible, we will offer a free reschedule to another available date instead of cancelling — subject to availability and the same tour or equivalent option.
How refunds are processed
- Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method used at checkout.
- Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days after we confirm your cancellation.
- Your bank or card provider may take additional time to show the credit on your statement.
Non-refundable items
The following are generally not refundable once booked or issued, even if you cancel within the free-cancellation window:
- Domestic flights, train tickets, or other third-party tickets already purchased in your name
- Entry fees or permits that cannot be transferred or cancelled with suppliers
- Optional add-ons confirmed with non-refundable suppliers (e.g. some balloon rides or special-access tickets)
If any non-refundable costs apply to your booking, we will tell you before you pay.
Changes by Official Egypt Tours
Once you book, your tour is guaranteed to run. We do not cancel tours due to low group numbers.
We may need to adjust an itinerary because of traffic, site closures, weather, or safety. If a scheduled visit is replaced with a suitable alternative of similar value, no refund is due for that change. If we must cancel a tour entirely due to circumstances beyond our control (force majeure), we will offer a full refund or credit toward a future booking — your choice.
